Lovea certified organic sunscreen
The Lovea sunscreen range is certified organic by ecocert and made by a French company called Laboratoires Biocos. Lovea is the top selling organic sunscreen in the French market. The formulas combine Tahitian Monoi Oil, a low level natural sunscreen with stronger mineral sun blocks.
The creams are lightly scented with natural essential oils and provide UVA & UVB protection. The formulas are water resistant and there are 8 products in the range which includes tanning oils, aftersun and sunscreen up to SPF 50. The kids range is co-promoted with Disney and the bottles feature the latest Disney characters.
The new formulas apply without white traces and the kids range is also unscented.
Lovea was the first organic sunscreen to meet eco-cert's organic standards in 2008. RSP's range from £8.49 for an aftersun to £15.99 for an SPF 50 moisturising face cream. Lovea does not contain chemical UV filters or nano-particles.
